The Rooms

Breakfasts at The Knoll are freshly cooked to order, and we cater for everyone’s requirements and dietary needs. We have cereals, fruit salad, muesli, granola and yoghurts available, as well as the traditional English Breakfast.

Our standard breakfast consists of one pork sausage, one rasher of bacon, and a particularly good black pudding slice! These come with an egg of your choosing – fried, scrambled, or poached – and fresh grilled tomato, sautéed mushrooms and baked beans. This is accompanied by toast and a selection of jams and marmalade. If guests would like a challenge, then the Full Breakfast is two sausage, two bacon, etc…!

• We cater for vegan/ vegetarian diets with the addition of spinach and swapping the sausages for meat-free alternatives, and for gluten free/ celiac diets we happily provide gf options.
• Kippers are available as well, but we like 24 hours notice as we source them directly from the fishermen.
• Guests may also choose something on toast such as scrambled or poached eggs, or an omelette – plain or with cheese/mushrooms/ peppers etc.
• Homemade bread is used for toast and comes with a selection of jams, honey and marmalade. A choice of white or wholemeal/granary usually available.
• We provide freshly ground coffee and a selection of teas, as well as orange or apple juice.

Breakfasts are generally served any time between 8am and 9am, although if we are busy we may ‘stagger them’ and ask guests to choose a time.
